Joe Hunt Magnetos produced the first Big Twin magneto in 1961, just another innovative product to be produced by the legendary ignition company since 1946. All Joe Hunt Magnetos utilize Billet Housings and Rare Earth Magnets. Joe Hunt Magnetos have been using rare earth magnets in there Automotive magnetos since 1994, and Motorcycle Mags since 1997. All Joe Hunt Motorcycle magnet rotors utilize four rare earth magnets in their construction, as compared to other models that use only two. Thus allowing more amps and voltage to be produced.
